Rates
Translation (including proofreading) and proofreading (only) are charged according to the number of words in the source document as counted by the MS Word software
Rates are subject to change depending on the nature of the translation, its complexity and the requested timeline. Urgent work requiring work on weekends, holidays or at night shall lead to an increase. A minimum fee is charged for translation of less than 250 words and proofreading of less than 500 words.
My rates are fair, competitive and reflect the quality of my work.

CBM translations, c'est moi : Caroline Milhau! I graduated from ECPM (Ecole Européenne de Chimie, Polymères et Matériaux, Strasbourg, France) in 2007 as a chemical engineer, and then spent 4 years immersed in the English language in Ireland in Dublin for my PhD in chemistry at UCD (University College Dublin).Subsequently, I specialized in the field of patents working as a translator/patent engineer for 5 years in an Intellectual Property Law Firm in the greater Paris area. During this time, I also obtained the accelerated tuition "Patents" degree at the CEIPI (Center of International Studies of the Intellectual Property, Strasbourg, France).
Combining scientific and linguistic skills, as well as experience in the complex field of patents, allows me to translate your most specialized technical documents, giving close attention to details, in order to provide you with the most accurate translation possible.

How it works
- You send me the details of your project (documents, deadlines...).
- After a quick study of your documents and requirements, I send you a quote and indicate the time necessary to perform the translation/proofreading.
- Upon receipt of your agreement, I translate, proofread and deliver the documents within the agreed timeline. If need be, I contact you for further details in order to complete your project.
- I send you your documents together with the invoice, which shall be paid within 30 days from the issue date of the invoice.
Working format
When possible, please send your documents in an editable format, readable for example by Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
